My Father's House feeds those who cannot do so themselves

  • My Father's House (MFH) started as an initiative during Covid-19.
  • During the pandemic, MFH fed more than 3 000 people per day, mostly children and the elderly.
  • Currently, they feed just over 2 000 people daily.
  • Through partnering with communities and organisations, they have been able to offer a sustainable solution to the homeless through job creation and rehabilitation programmes.

When a project aims to give back from the community to that very same community, it creates a measurable and sustainable impact.

My Father's House is an initiative that started during the global pandemic in 2020 when many people were left vulnerable and helpless. It has since been serving the communities of
Cape Town with a holistic focus on the physical, mental and spiritual health of the poor and vulnerable.

Many of us have passed a vulnerable person on the street and wondered how they survived. Through many collaborative efforts in the community, all dependent on donations and a helping hand, My Father's House is on a mission to improve the lives of the vulnerable through homeless care, community kitchens and a holistic focus on the physical, mental and spiritual health of the poor and vulnerable.

Every year My Father's House hosts a golf day at the Clovelly Country Club to raise funds specifically to give 3 000 homeless and vulnerable people in Cape Town a Christmas meal on 24 December. This year, they are hosting the third annual charity golf day for the same purpose.

"We depend on organisations and community members to sponsor or participate in our golf day, to raise funds for a memorable Christmas for a few thousand people who would otherwise not even have a meal to enjoy on Christmas," says Shadrick Valayadum from My Father's House.

Their key fundraising campaign is the golf day on 15 December 2022 at the Clovelly Country Club. Businesses and individuals are invited to partner and enter teams to ensure My Father's House raises enough funds to continue their valuable work.

This year's theme for the golf day is Survival, hosted by My Father's House Chairman Nico Panagio. We expect a field of 120 golfers who will enjoy an immersive golf day experience filled with loads of prizes, challenges and activities, food and great entertainment. And be challenged to Outplay, Outscore and Outsmart the field!

The following sponsor/partner options are available with some exciting marketing opportunities:

● Golf Day sponsors with packages from R25 000 - R100 000
● An activation at R2 500 per stand (could be a wet/sample hole)
● Harvest table sponsor for prize giving R10 000
● Hampers and prizes for the auction, welcome bags (120) and winners (4 - 40)
● Golf day players' entry at R550 per person

Survival is what many of our beneficiaries face daily. Through the funds raised on this golfday, My Father's House will be able to do more to uplift its beneficiaries from just surviving to thriving.
